June 2025 Visa Bulletin

USCIS recently released the Visa Bulletin for June 2025. This monthly update is especially significant for individuals awaiting their Green Cards, as it provides insight into expected wait times. Before delving into the specifics, it is important to determine which date chart applies to your situation in the June 2025 Visa Bulletin.USCIS clearly states in the new bulletin that for family-based applicants, the relevant table is the “Dates for Filing,” and for employment-based applicants, it is the “Final Action Dates.

Applicants may file only if their priority date is earlier than the date listed in the relevant chart.

Let us examine the details more closely.

To start with, let’s first understand how June 2025 dates moved for Green card applicants from different countries under the Employment-based categories.

Here are the key highlights:

  1. For Indian applicants, there has been no movement across any employment-based categories. This mirrors the situation in May 2025, although there was some optimism in the EB-3 professional and skilled worker category last month, in which dates advanced.
  2. Chinese applicants, however, experienced some advancement in June 2025. There is an advancement of three weeks in their EB-3 dates, and a forward movement of 2 months for the EB2 category.
  3. June appears to be more favorable for applicants from other countries which including Mexico, the Philippines, and countries other than India & China.. The EB-2 dates for them have seen a significant jump of 4 months, and EB-3 dates by 5 weeks when we compare them with May 2025 dates.
  4. The E4 religious worker category has become completely unavailable, and new numbers will become available from October 2025.

Now, if we look at the other Green Card categories, including the Investor (E5)  and Family ( F1, F2A, F2B & F4) we observed no significant forward movement, except for the F4 category for Indian applicants, which pertains to brothers and sisters of U.S Citizens who have moved forward by two months.

Predictions for the July 2025 Visa Bulletin

Although the law imposes a 7% per-country cap on Green Card issuance, demand remains high even at the midpoint of the fiscal year.  Over the past two months, we have observed a flattening in data movement across most categories, partly due to administrative delays.

Here are two points to look into:

  1. Based on our experience over the years, we expect the demand to continue for the rest of the year for most Employment-based categories, and some categories might also become unavailable. If the situation continues, we can expect little to no forward movement for India and China in the upcoming months of the fiscal year, until additional legislative action is taken.
  2. The situation for applicants from Mexico, the Philippines, and countries other than China or India might improve as we can expect some forward movement in most Green Card categories soon.
