Work Visa

Work Visas

USCIS has always been unpredictable regarding an employment-based application approval; the firm’s experience puts it in a unique position to achieve a higher approval rate.

What Is Work Visa?

A work visa is a permission granted to an individual to work in a foreign country. If you wish to work temporarily in the United States as a nonimmigrant, you will need a particular visa based on the type of occupation you are engaged in. Before you apply for a work visa in the U.S., your agent or employer has to file for a petition that has to be accepted by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services. There are different work visas issued to qualified applicants under the provisions of U.S. immigration law, and each one applies to a specific category of foreign individuals.

How to Apply for a Work Status in the U.S.?

The application process for work status may vary depending on the category it is applied for. Here is how you can apply for work status in the U.S. –

Step 1: Apply for an immigration status that allows you to work

Step 2: Fill out Form I-765

Step 3: Gather all the supporting documentation that includes a copy of passport photo page, copy of current U.S. Form I-94 travel record, previous work permits,  2*2-inch passport-style photos, and a copy of receipt notice (only if you are applying for a Work Permit after you submitted your immigrant visa application).

Step 4: Pay the relevant filing fees

Step 5: Submit an application for a work permit. It’s a good idea to attach a cover letter with your documentation, so the government knows exactly what you’re sending.

While you may be willing to go ahead with your application, make sure that you have all the necessary documents in place, resulting in unnecessary delays.

At the Law Offices of Prashanthi Reddy, PLLC, we can help you in your application process and ensure that you have all the proper documentation in place.
