No you cannot be on EAD and H-1 at the same time. You can move to EAD and then have two jobs on W-2 and 1099 on an EAD. Or you can stay on H-1 and file a concurrent H-1 for the second job but you have to be on a W-2 not a 1099.
Can I do 1099 contract part time work on EB2 GC EAD while being full time employed on H1B? If an interview is called for pending I-485, can this type of work cause any issues? Do I need to inform my employer about this side job? Thanks for your time.
